Business health check by Nishita Solutions: find where your business is leaking

See what is broken, and what to fix first.

A business health check is an outside look at how a business really runs, ending in a short list of what to fix first. Nishita Solutions runs it on your own records, for owner led businesses in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri and across Odisha, across sales, people, money, office and compliance. You get a written report and the few fixes that release the most cash and time.

  • Led by our consultants
  • Built on your records
  • Written report and priorities

In short

What is a business health check?

A business health check reviews sales, people, money, operations and compliance to show what is broken, what it costs and what to fix first.

Nishita Solutions runs the Business Health Check on your own records, and it is the recommended first step before any larger consulting work.

  • Five areas, scored with evidence
  • A written report and a priority roadmap
  • No obligation to hire us afterwards

Who it is for

Signs you need a business health check

  • I work all day, every day, and still do not know where the money goes.
  • Sales are growing, but the bank balance is not.
  • Every department says the problem is somewhere else.
  • I want to fix things, but I do not know what to fix first.
  • Before I spend on software, marketing or new hires, I want an honest outside view.
  • My CA files the returns, but nobody tells me how the business is really doing.

The Business Health Check, led by our consultants.

You share your numbers, your records and a few honest hours with your managers. We check five areas of the business: sales, people, money, office and compliance. You get a scorecard and a priority roadmap: the few fixes that release the most cash and time.

  • Sales and customers

Customer and product mix, margins, how much depends on a few customers, and how real the pipeline is.

  • People and organization

Roles, who reports to whom, key person risk and incentives.

  • Finance and cash

Receivables ageing, the cost map, leakages, debt and repayments.

  • Operations and assets

Utilization, downtime, process bottlenecks, stock and assets.

  • Compliance and statutory

GST, PF and ESI, TDS, licences, and a map of any arrears.

How the Health Check runs

How long it takes depends mostly on how quickly your records reach us. The timeline is agreed in your written scope before we start.

  1. Kickoff and records

We agree the scope, share a short list of the records we need and book the interviews.

  2. Interviews and a walk through

We talk to you and your department heads, and see how work really happens on the floor.

  3. Review and scoring

We check sales, receivables, costs, payroll and statutory filings, then score each area with the evidence.

  4. Report and readout

We rank the fixes by cash impact and effort, and present the written report to you and any partners or directors.

Compare

Business health check vs an audit: what each one does

Both look at your business from outside. They answer different questions.

Included

What you get from the Business Health Check

  • A written scorecard for the five areas, with the evidence behind each score
  • A priority roadmap: each fix with an owner, a date and an estimated impact in rupees or hours
  • A baseline for the numbers that matter to you, such as cash cover, debtor days and statutory status
  • A findings report, area by area
  • A readout meeting with you and any partners or directors

Records the health check needs from you

  • The last two years' financial statements and this year's books (a Tally or Zoho backup works)
  • Bank statements for the last 6 to 12 months
  • Receivables and payables ageing
  • Your GST, PF, ESI and TDS filing status, and a list of licences
  • A staff list or organization chart, and sales by customer and product
  • A few hours from you and from each department head

An honest health check, with no obligation after it.

The Business Health Check is a diagnosis, not a sales pitch. You keep the report and the roadmap, and you can act on them yourself, with your own team or with us.

It is also the simplest way to judge the quality of our work before you commit to anything larger. Audits, tax audits and certificates are not part of it: they stay with your CA.

  • You keep the report and the roadmap
  • No obligation to hire us afterwards
  • Fixes are scoped and quoted separately

Limits

Business health check limits: when to choose something else

The Health Check is a diagnosis. Another step may come first if one of these is true.

  • You need an audit, a tax audit or a certificate. Those stay with your CA; the Health Check does not replace them.
  • Cash or bank pressure is already serious. Start with the Business turnaround programme, which begins with cash control.
  • You already know the one fix you need, such as payroll or the monthly close. Start with that department.
  • You cannot share records yet. The Health Check is built on your real records, so it starts when they are ready.

FAQ

Business health check questions

What is the Business Health Check?

A consultant led diagnosis of your business, done on your real records, interviews with you and your managers, and a walk through your office or floor. It ends with a written report and a short list of priorities.

Who offers a business health check for SMEs in Odisha?

Nishita Solutions runs a consultant led Business Health Check for owner led businesses in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri and across Odisha, on your own records.

How long does a business health check take?

It depends mostly on how quickly your records reach us. The timeline is agreed in your written scope before we start.

What records does a business health check need?

Two years of financial statements, this year's books, bank statements, receivables and payables ageing, your statutory filing status and a staff list. The full list is on this page.

Is this the same as an audit?

No. An audit checks your accounts and is signed by a Chartered Accountant. The Business Health Check looks at how the whole business runs: sales, people, money, office and compliance. It does not replace your audit, a tax audit or any certificate.

Can we use a business health check template ourselves?

A template lists questions, but it cannot check your records or rank the fixes by cash impact. The five areas on this page make a good starting list for your own review.

What happens after the business health check?

You get a readout meeting and a written roadmap. You can act on it yourself, with your own team or with us; fixes are scoped and quoted separately.

Do we have to hire you after the Health Check?

No. You keep the scorecard and the roadmap and can act on them yourself. Fixing the issues found is a separate step, scoped and quoted only if you want it.

Do you need to visit us?

For businesses in and around Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Puri, yes: part of the Health Check is seeing how work happens on the floor. Elsewhere in Odisha we combine a visit with remote work.

How much does a business health check cost with Nishita Solutions?

The Business Health Check is scoped with you first. Fees depend on scope and are shared after a short consultation, and any fee is agreed in writing before we start.
